Science for Society – Science to Business: European approaches to knowledge transfer

The RESI project is offering an intensive course for young lecturers and researchers of all scientific fields of Mosul University in June 2022. This is your opportunity to gain insights into teaching and learning at TU Dortmund University and experience innovative concepts in practice. Our intensive courses are one-week seminars taking place at TU Dort­mund/Germany. Seminars comprise a diverse program including academic input lectures, exchange, sitting in lectures, experiencing concepts in practice, field trips, presenting your research in front of a professional audience and much more. In addition, you will get insights in the campus life and overall cultural life at the TU Dortmund and the city of Dortmund. 

The focus of this intensive course at TU Dortmund is on approaches and concepts of knowledge transfer and dissemination to contribute to a positive development of our societies. The RESI team in cooperation with experts of the TU Dortmund Center of Entrepreneurship will put together a diverse program to discuss and engage with up to date approaches to knowledge transfer practiced in Europe.

Staff of all fa­cul­ties of Uni­ver­sity of Mosul are eligible to apply. The courses target emerging postgraduate researchers with yet limited opportunities in­ter­na­tio­nal academic experience but proven English competence. Participation is subsidized by a DAAD.

1. Your CV (including a list lecturing experience, academic record and list of publications)
2. A summary of your thesis; a motivation letter (max. 3 pages) where you state how you, your students and your department will profit from you participating in the seminar
3. A reference letter from a professor from Mosul University,
4. Scanned copies of certificates, diplomas and degrees including language certificates (if available)
5. A scanned copy of the page of your passport which indicates your full name and address,

  4. If you wish to apply for a scholarship a justification letter (max. 1 page) and related proof
  5. Scanned copies of an english language certificate
  6. A scanned copy of the page of your passport which indicates your full name and address
